i'm always coo'ing over fonts, this is def one of them.
it was designed as a display font so it's not recommended for extended texts. it's suitable for headlines and logos that need to pack a quick punch, no?

i saw this and was immediately drawn to it.
i love how the clothes and colors coincide with the rooms natural elements.
do you think that was purposeful - the insane detail that many would probably just pass over - i see it all, i do.
help - someone please tell me who this fantasic designer is tho...
i'm sure you've come across these images before by photographer kari herer, because i know i've seen them at least a hundred times - but really, can you blame me for posting them again? the sketches are so innocent and approachable and then the floral buds placed ever so gently in their perfect little spots make the image just so.
what a sweet little story they tell.
i'm totally in love with this boot. its the kind that only get better with time.
damn -- these are good.
handmade in minnesota; designed in brooklyn; wooden soles imported from sweden and hand-finished in minnesota; color combination is exclusive to madesmith.
there is a floral studio that i've admired for some time now by the name of ERBA. many a reasons why i appreciate her work but i will just highlight my favorite thing at the moment... a brilliant floral/photo collaboration by riley and parker called overgrowth. it's being featured at a gallery called ROCKET in japan and so very inspiring. it has a quiet simplicity that is actually very difficult to achieve, but somehow they have beautifully.
she is also simultaneously hosting workshops while there.
need i say more - i'll let the photos speak for themselves.

this installation was created for the 50th biennial of venice in 2003. it is now in the san staë church on the canale grande. it’s entitled falling garden, and is the work of collaborating swiss artists steiner and lenzlinger.
i touch, talk, and think about flowers so often my dreams oddly resemble these scenes, well - in that way when you wake up from sleep you have random glimpses of something you've experienced in the past.
this is such a good look, if done correctly. wide legs + a button up, here i come.
A few thoughts here...
one. i just moved into a new house with a bare bones back patio and i plan to plant myself a treasure trove of bouganvilla. i am buying my first one -hopefully the hot pink- this coming week. i'll keep you posted on it's progress, but this picture below is my visual goal.
two. i was seaching on pinterest for a pretty picture of bouganvilla for inspiration and there are literally thousands. this one seemed to catch my eye on several different occasions so i decided, this is the one. well, it turns out i know the matermind behind this beautiful photo, miss sweetthing herself ... aka jesse.
third. when i clicked on the photo and found out it was her i also noticed it doubled as a cover to her custom compilation mixes that she makes for her blog. this mix -volume 12- is a really good one from late 2012... give it a listen.
wanna take a little trip to santa barbara with me ... if so, let me know i'm going next saturday to see this amazingness.
sexiness, romance, and rebellion all wrapped into one.
CULT GAIA's manifesto
for the urbanite needing a break from city life. for nights of debauchery. for romance and rebellion. for fairytales and fables. for bad hair days. for nostalgia, for fun, for friends, for festivals, for birthdays, for dancing. for whimsy and silly. for expression, for escape, and play. for sleep, for sex, for gowns, for sundresses, for boxers, for briefs, for goddesses, for your inner child. for beauty, grace, glory, good times and souls alike. CULT GAIA.
i couldn't say it any damn better - go get one.
DIANA ORVING is a swedish based fashion brand that has a distinctive design characterized by layers, volume and draped fabrics. she is clearly inspired by art, dance and movement.
sometimes she takes on textile draping installation that I find so stunning.
there's quite an art to hanging fabric so gracefully - she has definitely mastered it.
one of the numerous things i love about having bowie is that she keeps me off the computer and in the present moment. i get to take lots of walks and appreciate nature, as one should, often. today in particular i was reminded (again) how much i just love cacti and succulents which led me to hunt down some unique shots of their beauty. let me count the ways i adore these creatures, two things being: their architecture and their color.
it's quite undeniable.

if i had a brick and mortar it'd go a little something like this...
BUTCHERS DAUGHTER: juice bar & cafe | new york
i'm so in love with this shop ... from the name, to the concept, to the materials used, the simplicity, the bright white with pops of color and wood, the greenery & fruit plants, the logo, the lighting - yada yada, you get my point.
just follow my lead below.
now if only i could order a 'rubies in the dust' right now - beets/carrots/ginger/local berries/plum/flaxseed oil
known by native americans for its healing and spiritual properties; purpleheart is an exotic and extraordinary wood, sourced from south america, that naturally turns a deep purple color when exposed to light. wood components have been specially hand-crafted and intricately combined with signature sculpted silks. the silks are hand-spun in india and are named aleena silk (Arabic for paradise).
ever since i became a mama i've quickly realized how much s t u f f you have to lug around, all the time - including the baby!your hands, arms, and shoulders are constantly occupied and i thought to myself today how handy a backpack could be for all my personal belongings. i think i found a good contender, isn't it pretty?!
Big canvas pop-up bag with leather handles / butterscotch & nude
This bag is made of sturdy good quality canvas.
The canvas is water resistant so it will keep your belongings dry.
The leather is undyed raw leather which means that the leather
will darken when exposed to sunlight, air, and use.
This is an on-going process which eventually gives the leather an aged look.
